I grew up outside of Washington, DC, in the 80's and 90's in a very religious family, and currently live in Tacoma, WA. While I still claim the Christian contemplative lineage as an important connection to my past, my spirituality is somewhat more diverse than those early days. I've been a critical care nurse for 14 years, and in that role often found myself drawn to the spiritual aspects of healing as well as underlying questions of justice and inequality in our health care system.
After close to a decade of full time critical care nursing, I became very burnt out and dismayed at the limitations and injustices of our western health care model. As a result, I became involved in activist communities and began to take more time to attend to my own spiritual, energetic and psychological healing. As I meditated and learned to develop and trust my God-given intuition, I became more aware of the ways in which the Universe was constantly speaking to me, and began to experience more episodes of mind-blowing divine guidance and psychic experience.
I finally began to study and develop these abilities more formally, and now offer them to you. While some of us may come to these psychic abilities more naturally than others, I believe there is nothing special or particularly mysterious about any of it. We all have the capacity to develop our own intuition and deeper perceptivity if we choose to.
I continue to practice nursing part time, and remain involved in activism, community building, and spiritual development. I also co-host the podcast The Rising, about the intersection of spirituality and activism.
